I worked for around 14 years as a lecturer in a large multi-cultural college in East London, supporting students from diverse backgrounds. Before that, I worked in local government, focusing on homelessness, housing policy, and improving customer satisfaction.
Alongside this, I have extensive voluntary sector experience, supporting people through mental health challenges, domestic violence, and reparative justice. I have also worked with people with autism and their families, helping them navigate difficult times.
During my time at Relate, I worked closely with CAFCASS (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service), supporting separating and divorcing parents. As a qualified child counsellor, I helped parents keep their children’s needs at the centre, while working towards respectful and constructive agreements.
